I did not feel like I was being taken advantage of, that my candidate was being coached into expecting more money from us in order to increase the profit to the “sales rep”, nor did I hear “this candidate has several other offers on the table you need to be aware of so you may want to offer them more money to start with to be more appealing than everyone else. I did not feel like I was just a steppingstone on the way to your company earning more money off our need to fill a position. We made our offer based on what we could afford and what we felt the candidate was worth, and it was accepted as that. I appreciate that. No one in the Community Harvest Food Bank family looked forward to the challenge of finding a successor to our beloved Executive Director following her untimely death last summer.
